JustDance 1 | 2 | 3

I was really proud to help launch a franchise like Just Dance — especially when very few believed in it at the beginning. I worked on Just Dance 1, 2, and 3.

It was a real challenge to define an art direction that felt unique, especially with real dancers in a video game back in 2009. The goal was to create a simple yet striking visual style — bold, flashy colors on the characters dancing in front of vibrant environments. It was, in a way, like making Street Fighter II, but for dance.

Here are a few videos that clearly show what the franchise has become in terms of animation and movement. Back in 2010, it was a huge challenge for our small team.

I’m proud to have helped lay the foundation of the Just Dance franchise — and with Just Dance 3, we achieved a Guinness World Record for best-selling casual/dance game on the Wii, with over 12.87 million copies sold.
